Remembrance Coffee Morning at Beaverbrook House

A group of pupils from Reception class to Year 6 joined veterans and members of the community to commemorate 100 years since the end of the Great War. Pupils presented their World war 1 project that has taken place in school and told the audience all about the local heroes we have found out about through local artifacts and research.

Pupils then enjoyed a coffee morning with cupcakes and listened to guest presenters Jordan Wylie (Author) and TV celebrity from Channel 4’s “Hunted” programme. They also met local War veterans and had an opportunity to find out more about Blackpool Community Trusts work with  local historian Gerry Wolstenholme.
