Year Three's Page

This year Year3 is being taken by Ms.Sandiford, she is one of our two new teachers this year. Year3 is now back on the ground floor after one year of being upstairs in the attic.

Summer 2007 - Computer Art

One of the early topics in year4's ICT is 'repeating patterns' so as a prelude to that in the later stages of year3 we have a play with some of the more advanced 'painting*' tools on the computer.
We've been using the paintbrush, pencil and fill tools that got used since in year1 but added to that we have started using the selection and modification tools too.

*I'm a geek, painting and drawing on the computer are different concepts, but for a year3 level they may get interchanged, regardless ALL the work in this topic is painting in computer terms.

Fish 12thJune

First we drew our fish using the paintbrush and just in black.
Then we coloured it in using the 'fill can'.
After that we selected it using the selection square and 'copied' and 'pasted' our fish to make several copies.
We then 'fliped' and resized some of the fish so it didn't look like a shoal of clones.
Finally we added a watery backdrop to complete our sea-scene.
