Welcome to our Year 1 class page, where the magic of learning comes to life! Here, your child will embark on an incredible journey filled with exciting discoveries, new friendships, and lots of fun adventures. Our amazing teachers are here to guide and support your little one every step of the way as they explore the world of reading, writing, math, and more. Get ready for a year packed with laughter, creativity, and amazing achievements! Let's make this year in Year 1 one to remember!

How can I help my child?
The transition from EYFS to KS1 is a big change for your child and we want to make it easy as possible and provide a smooth transition for you and your child.
You can help to support to them by:
- Ensuring all your child's belongings are clearly labelled to avoid any lost uniform
- Listening to them read at home for a short period each night and ask them questions to clarify their understanding of what has been read
- Supporting them with their weekly spelling's homework
- Looking out for information about our topics on the website and encouraging your child to continue learning at home
In Year 1, you will be expected to:
- Always do your best
- Be kind to everyone
- Follow your class rules
- Complete all homework
- Have your reading book in school everyday
- Look after your own things
- Respect each other and their property
